The Brögger System™ was designed by Danish flute maker Johan Brögger, who gained international recognition approximately 20 years ago with his Brögger Mekanik™ design. Since then he has developed the Brögger System™, which advances his original concept and includes the innovative and groundbreaking Brögger thumb key™ design. The result is a mechanism that brings some very important benefits that every performer will appreciate:
- Increased structural security for a stronger, more stable and precise mechanism
- Solid, reliable feel and the fastest response
- The pioneering Brögger Thumb Key™ - featuring an ergonomic design with less hand fatigue for the flutist

The Brögger System™ is a pin-less mainline mechanism that gives the flautist a very stable, quiet and longer lasting mechanism.

The Brögger thumb key™ design.

The innovative inclined thumb key design gives a much smoother and responsive action. Unlike the traditional thumb key mechanism, which has a flat spring that is flexed against the body tube, the unique Brögger thumb key™ design has the same needle springs for the Bb and B keys as it does for the rest of the mechanism. There is therefore no contact and friction between springs and body tubing, and the thumb keys respond in a manner consistent with the rest of the instrument.
